Today is an important day in Indian history, a black day in Indian history, and I have decided to start writing publicly as an ode to one of my personal heroes.
I am a consummate introvert who hates to share her opinion, especially in a world where everything can be cancelled, and no originality is appreciated. For sometime now I have had a lot to say and a burning desire to change the discourse of current society, but have lacked the courage to say anything. And so, today on such an important day, I decided to actually commit. This page is more for me to not lose my courage midway then it if for anybody bored enough to be reading this long.
I believe I have something useful to contribute to my society, something which might have a positive impact and thus it’s my moral obligation to then move forward fearlessly and not fear the inevitable criticism.
My hero gave his life for his country, for what he thought was right. I believe that I owe it to the ideals of those who came before me, who had the courage to sacrifice so much for their ideals, to at least be courageous and to not let social expectations and burdens stop me.
From the above, it might seem like that I am gonna write something divisive and revolutionary. For this, I apologize, dear reader. As I mentioned earlier, this is more for me than for you. This blog is my attempt to come out of my shell and overcome my crippling fear of public speaking while contributing something constructive in the process.
I guess you can expect more of the same from the rest of this blog, a bit of randomness as I try to find myself anew in a society confused by social media and fear mongering.
